Andrew's main area of practice is claims arising from the carriage of goods by sea, road and air and other related areas such as warehousing.

He also regularly advises on related insurance issues. He is listed as a leader in his field in the major guides to Solicitors' services.

He is co-author of 'CMR: Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods by Road' (3rd edition, 2000), one of the leading works on the the application of the CMR convention.

He regularly speaks and writes on CMR matters.

Andrew graduated from Cambridge University and qualified in 1975. A year later he took up a lecturing post until 1986, when he returned to marine practice in the City. He was a founding partner of Holmes Hardingham.
