Andrew Large
Andrew is an Associate and currently specialises in carriage of goods by road and sea and associated insurance disputes. Andrew has also assisted the firm's Yacht Team in a variety of cases including collisions, personal injury and insurance policy disputes.
Andrew joined Holmes Hardingham in 2001 with experience of shipping and insurance litigation - charterparty arbitration, cargo salvage, hull insurance as well as general average disputes. He has also dealt with re-insurance matters and drafted commercial contracts. He previously worked for law firms in the City and in Hong Kong and co-authored the “Maritime Law Handbook: Hong Kong Law of Arrest of Ships".
Andrew read Law at Queens' College Cambridge gaining a Masters Degree in English Commercial Law. He has also spent a number of years working in the voluntary sector and still maintains a keen interest in community matters. He is currently Chair of the board of two inner-city charities.
